Make-A-Wish grants cherished wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Providing hope, strength, and joy, the granting of a wish has been shown to have a remarkably positive effect on a child’s mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, at a time when it’s needed most.

Originating in the USA, Make-A-Wish is a global organisation operating in 49 countries and territories around the world, dedicated to granting wishes of children, helping them through their treatment and bringing hope, strength and joy to their lives.

Make-A-Wish has been granting incredible wishes in Australia since 1985. Today, the organisation operates nationally with 57 branches in all states and territories and over 1,100 volunteers.

Since inception Make-A-Wish has granted over 8,000 wishes in Australia. From meeting a sporting idol, to being a diamond miner for a day, swimming with the whale sharks to making a pilgrimage to Wet-N-Wild on the Gold Coast, each wish, like each child, is individual.

The entire wish process – from the anticipation, to the wish itself, and the memories it creates – is an essential complement to a child’s medical treatments. A wish is also a positive experience for families in challenging times.

The tireless work of Make-A-Wish never ends!

As an official Bronze Business Partner of Make-A-Wish Australia, Hyundai Help for Kids is proud to be able to help grant more wishes for more children right across the country.
