The Hyundai Help for Kids Lions Academy is a talent development and coaching program designed for aspiring young female and male athletes between the ages of 12 and 19 years, with an interest and talent for the game of AFL. The aim of the program is to provide a pathway for players to reach their full potential, with a structured, supportive, and nurturing framework. The Academy now has over 250 kids each year who benefit from the professional expertise offered through the Academy.

Hyundai Motor Company Australia Northern Region has had an association with the Brisbane Lions AFL Football club for over eight years. Hyundai Help for Kids is proud to extend that relationship in the area of youth development and is naming rights partner of the Hyundai Help for Kids Lions Academy.

The Lions Academy is a powerful expansion program designed to highlight and make available opportunities for young sportspeople to take their passion for AFL to a higher level.

The Lions Academy provides off-field development through the areas of sports psychology, nutrition, and physical fitness, along with on-field platforms such as skills training, game analysis and match performance. This unique holistic approach to youth sport development ensures participants understand the powerful place sport plays in a healthy, active lifestyle.

As a Proud Partner of the Lions Academy, Hyundai Help for Kids will support their work at a grassroots level with a strong commitment to the community and to promoting sport as a key measure of young adult development.

A day at the footy brings joy and distraction from everyday life for anyone who attends. That is why Hyundai Help for the Kids and the Brisbane Lions pair up at each home game to host VIP guests from our family of partners and aspire to make their day extra special. Guests have the best view in the house, are visited by players and take part in fun activities, all while soaking in the atmosphere of a Brisbane Lions home game. This space has quickly become a highlight of Brisbane Lions matches throughout AFL season.
