Aussie kids benefit from health education, thanks to Hyundai Help for Kids
(4 September 2017)

Children will benefit from vital health and safety education thanks to the continuation of a partnership between Life Education and Hyundai Help for Kids.

Hyundai Motor Company today announced that it has extended its support to Life Education for the third year running via the Hyundai Help for Kids program, allowing the leading childhood health and safety organisation to continue vital work with some of Australia’s children. The partnership also contributes to funding innovation in delivery and additional educators to accommodate the growth in demand for our programs. We also aim to connect with more parents through technology.

Scott Grant, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor Company Australia said, “Hyundai Help for Kids is keen to support Life Education so that that they can increase their reach and see as many students as possible.  We are excited about continuing our support and recognise the importance of imparting vital information and tools to young people so they can make informed choices about their health and safety, and reach their potential.”

Life Education reinforces learning about healthy food choices, the benefits of physical activity, staying safe online, the dangers of smoking, alcohol and illegal drugs, and strategies to cope with peer and social pressures.Lessons are delivered to students from pre-school all the way through to secondary school in its popular mobile learning centre featuring its mascot Healthy Harold the giraffe.  A not for profit, Life Education is one of the only mobile health providers to visit every local government area and geographic region in the state – their ultimate aim is to make the programs available to every child and support every classroom teacher.

Kellie Sloane, CEO of Life Education New South Wales said, “We really value and appreciate the financial support provided by Hyundai Help for Kids. Last year we reached over 630,000 students in Australia. This was a 10% increase which could not have been achieved without the support of Hyundai Help for Kids.  “Thanks to our renewed partnership with Hyundai Help for Kids, this year we can further increase our reach and educate children that may not otherwise be in a position to benefit and experience the program.”To celebrate the continuation of the partnership, Hyundai Help for Kids has generously provided Life Education with an all-new Hyundai i30 to giveaway.
